Gentalk.biz celebrates 3 years of writing about CA Gen
May 4th 2010 is 3 years since the first Gentalk.biz post. Much has happened in that 3 years that gentalk has reported on – the major event of course is the impending release of r8 of the product.
The annual “birthday posts” from the previous 2 years are here and here.
So – what’s happened in the last year ?
Gentalk has a presence on Twitter here , coupled with a rise in the use of Social Media in the CA Gen space, with companies using Youtube for dissemination of information.
More companies have partnered with CA in the Gen arena, EDGE conferences in Europe, Asia-Pacific and USA, and of course the looming CA World 2010 which will announce r8 of the CA Gen product (possibly the most eagerly awaited event of the the last 3 years!).
CA Gen’s presence on the internet has improved, with more organisations using blogs to communicate with their users and customers, tooling becoming available from partners in the Eclipse space for CA Gen to transform true Legacy applications into the CA Gen Model-Based-Development environment, thereby increasing productivity.
More partners in the CA Gen ecosystem are themselves partnering with other organisations in the Agile space to combine the power of CA Gen and the Agile methodology – there’s synergy there - making the best even better !
Lastly for 2010, CA Gen has a booth in CA’s May Mainframe Madness – you can register by following the link on the left hand side of this page – to get an inkling of what it’s like – check out the photo below;
I wonder what I’ll be writing about on 4th May 2011 – it’ll be an exciting year.
