There doesn't appear to be a free downloadable version of CA Gen available. Perhaps the best method of achieving this legally is to speak to your local CA Sales Representative and/or account manager. If you are interested in evaluating CA Gen for a project, email me at info@gentalk.biz and I'll have a private conversation with you and provide you with your local rep's details. Note that I'm not a CA person myself - just a supportive customer passionate about CA Gen !

Hi there, apart from books, do you know any way to get CA Gen 7.x or 8 to play with it at home (without 30 day expiration)? Thanks in advance.

I agree with estefan's comments about the book. There are however no books still in print that I can get from Amazon or other online bookstores. Having such books available would increase the visibility of CA Gen and people's competencies.

Actually there are some books already published about CA Gen. Texas Instruments and Sterling Software were distributung a book to the Composer By IEF customers ( this is the name how the toolset was called that time ). Also there is another book series consisting of three books about Information Engineering by Mr. James MARTIN, who is the inventor of CA Gen. Unfortunatelly this good fashion of complementary books have not been continued by CA. On the other hand the CA Gen tutorials are of high quality but is determined for the people who already are customers of CA Gen. This all reflects a little bit the marketing strategy of the vendor CA.. :-)
